Flow Controllers - DWM 1000 | DWM 2000 Electromagnetic Flow Switch and Flow Meter
The DWM 1000 electromagnetic flow switch and the DWM 2000 electromagnetic flow meter monitor the flow of electrically-conductive liquids, pastes and slurries. The DWM 1000 uses an induced voltage converted into a switching signal. The DWM 2000 uses an induced voltage converted into a 4...20 mA current output that is proportional to the flow velocity. Measuring principle As early as 1832, Faraday tried to determine the speed of the current in the Thames by measuring the voltage induced in flowing water by the earth's magnetic field. Electromagnetic flow measurement is based on Faraday's Law of induction. According to this law, a specific voltage is induced in a conductor or conductive medium that moves through a magnetic field. This voltage is proportional to the speed of movement of the medium. On electromagnetic flowmeters, the induced voltage is tapped via two measuring electrodes in conducting contact with the medium. An electronic converter converts the signal into a proportional output signal. | |||||||||
Flow Controllers DW 181...184 Mechanical Flow Controllers DW 181 | DW 182 | DW 183 | DW 184
The DW 18 series of flow controller is ideal for locally indicating the flow of homogenous clean liquids. Adjustable switches generate alarms once switching points are reached. The units are robust. Several variants are available to suit a wide variety of applications. Highlights

Flow Controllers - SDA Flap-Type Flowmeter Flap-type flowmeter for liquid measurements The SDA flap-type flowmeter can be used for flowmetering various kinds of liquid products by using different materials of construction and different mounting positions. The flowmeter is largely independent of viscosity and suitable for indicating the flow of water, acids and alkalis. The responsibility as to the suitability, intended use and corrosion-resistance of the materials used in their construction rests solely with the purchaser. Each device is calibrated for the userīs application and fitted with a product-related scale. For process control, the flowmeter can be equipped with max. two limit swiches and one analog current output. Highlights
