Spray adhesives come in a variety of formulations and applications. They are usually applied from aerosol cans. Various formulations have been developed for virtually any material or fabric such as foils, carpeting, lightweight paper, cardboard, felt, cloth, painted or unpainted metals, wood and hardboard. Ease of application is a key trait.

The spring pin is an economic shearing type fastener used universally. Alternatively identified as spring clips, they are buttons affixed to a spring. A fitting can be dismantled or adjusted by a mere pinching of the buttons. They are used occasionally on booms and frequently on mast base cups. Coiled type is an important type in this class of pins that is hollow and has a metal make. These pins are of service in various industrial applications such as stamping and casting.

Self-locking pins offer safety with a built-in self-locking feature which is accomplished by means of an engrafted plunger that serves as a cotter pin. A spring-loaded, solid "wedge-shaped detent" is the accentuating feature, which imparts operation simplicity and secure fastening to the pin. The wedge-shaped plunger depresses automatically with ease when the pin is thrust into a hole via materials to be joined. The plunger's retention strength is at par with that of the respective cotter pin. The pins are designed as swift-locking and single-use pins and are used in a legion of applications.

A spring loaded check valve is a device that allows fluid to flow or pressure to act in one direction only by means of a spring-loaded plate that closes if the fluid attempts to flow back through the valve.
